Humane Education Program

Karuna Society’s Humane Education Programme was launched in December 2010 and has covered 4 schools to date. More schools are on the list and, hopefully, we will also be able to conduct these programmes in Telugu speaking schools. Interactive sessions, in each school, are held for different age groups. A documentary film on animals is also shown.

The building for this hospital was completed and is fully functional. It admits inpatient cows, bulls, calves, donkeys, ponies and injured goats for treatment and surgery by our specialized veterinary doctor.   We even have a camel in our care. We provide shelter, nursing facilities and feed to the patients as well as providing mechanical lift facilities for disabled animals. Outpatients are welcome for a second opinion and treatments.

This poor animal would have been sent for slaughter had it not been for the timely intervention of our resident Vet.

We cared for her and later returned her to her owner.
