Hospital & Shelter for Small Animals

Karuna Hospital for small animals is home to many disabled and sick animals who receives daily treatment, food and care. The out-patient department opens daily to attend the free medical care for cruelty cases, accidents, viral and bacterial diseases.

In this in-patient/out-patient environment dwells a small group of long-term patients or disabled animals who became residents. They are no longer sick, but their recovery took so much time that they became like family. It would be difficult for them to return to a life on the streets. Having bonded with each other and with the staff, these Karuna kids are happy to live out their lives as guardians of Karuna Hospital and to serve as loving nurturers of new patients.

The hospital for large animals serves cattle, horses, and one camel. They are all rescued from illegal transport to slaughter. Abused donkeys finds shelter, food and treatment at the same hospital.

WOUND TREATMENT WITH COLOIDAL SILVER

Karuna Society Puttaparthi received eleven years ago a “silver machine” from a donor in Canada. It consists of a transformer with an extension and two silver rods (99%). They hang in a glass pot with medically distilled water (4ppm) and after 1,5 hour plugged in there is app. 12-15ppm colloidal silver in the water.

This is a natural antibiotic which does wonders for big infected wounds. You can see the granulation happening. It is absolutely safe. Wounds have to be packed in a bandage with cotton, soaked with the coll. silver and dressed daily. Specially wounds that would be difficult to suture profit from this; dog bites, dogs attacked by wild boars with horrible wounds etc. Dogs with skin distemper recover in a few days and dogs with adenovirus recover quickly by flushing out the infected glands.

For large animals it is very helpful for eye problems and lung infections (oral). It works against more than 700 strains of bacteria and also for viruses. All technical info about colloidal silver is available on internet.

See pictures here of treatments.

I am willing to give more specific info about the practical use, the don’ts and do’s if people are interested.

If anybody would know an electrician who could make these transformers cheaply, it could be a safe and reliable tool for many shelters
