OUR CREDENTIALS
- Karuna Society for Animals and Nature is a registered nonprofit animal welfare organization in India under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. We registered in Anantapur on September 18, 2000 Nr. 685 of 2000.
- We are exempted from income tax, 80G and 12A and we are allowed to receive foreign donations under the FCRA act.
- We are recognized by the AWBI (Animal Welfare Board of India), we are a member society of FIAPO (Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations), WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals), and associated with RSPCA international (Royal Society for the Protection and Cruelty to Animals).

AWARDS RECEIVED
Since the date of registration and years of hard work of animal rescue and animal care, we have received the following awards:
1. 2004: Elisabeth Lewyt Award from North Shore Animal League America, for providing aid to the Animal victims of the December 26, 2004 Tsunami.
2. 2007: Venu Menon Special Organisation Award
3. 2008: Away Award, for extraordinary efforts, above and beyond expectation.
